Hyper was founded in Iowa by husband and wife Chris and Izzy Whalen with one goal: bring real hospitality back to quick service. In a world moving toward automation and less human interaction, they set out to build something different.
Hyper started in Waukee, Iowa in 2021 with a big dream. Hospitality has always been part of Chris’s
story. Growing up in the restaurant and hotel industry, he learned early what great service looked like
and what it took to deliver it well.
Chris and Izzy had no idea their desire to bring that same curated hospitality into quick service would
grow into what Hyper is today.
They believed people still wanted connection. They believed speed did not have to replace service. So
they built a drive-thru concept centered around intentional interaction, consistency, and creating a
place that feels familiar every time someone pulls up.
Hyper is proudly company owned and locally operated. Every store is built around culture, opportunity,
and connection. The brand partners with local schools and nonprofits and hosts fundraisers throughout
the year to support the communities it serves.
Giving back is not a campaign for Hyper. It is part of who they are. As Hyper grows into new markets,
the mission remains the same: stay rooted in the communities it serves.
Yes, Hyper serves handcrafted energy drinks and specialty creations you will not find anywhere else, but
what it is really serving is momentum and connection.
Hyper is not just about what is in the cup. It is about how people feel when they leave.
Because at the end of the day, the goal has always been simple: making every day a Hyper day.
